Opportunities

We are always keen to hear from talented and motivated researchers interested in joining our group. Our projects span cutting-edge areas of Digital Chemistry - including data science, machine learning and high-throughput experimental alongside synthetic organic/organometallic and physical organic chemistry. This combination provides a unique training environment where students and researchers gain first-class skills in both experimental and computational approaches, preparing them for successful careers in modern academia or industry. Opportunities exist at all levels, from Undergraduate and Visiting Scholar projects to Ph.D. and Postdoctoral positions. Please get in touch (jac340@bath.ac.uk) if you are interested in research opportunities. Funded positions will be advertised below and across relevant platforms.

Postdoctoral Positions

When there are no funded positions advertised, and you would like to join the group, then you must obtain your own funding via applications to postdoctoral fellowships. Full assistance in developing applications for fellowships will be given to outstanding candidates. For a list of potential sources of funding, see below and get in touch with Jamie (jac340@bath.ac.uk) well in advance of the deadline.

PhD Studentships

Candidates for PhD studentships should have an excellent track record and a strong motivation to conduct original research in synthetic organic/organometallic chemistry. No prior experience of data science, machine learning or coding is expected for applicants. If you require further information on the availability of PhD places or the research we are currently undertaking please get in touch (jac340@bath.ac.uk).

When no positions are advertised, opportunities for PhD research in the group exist via the:

Potential Ph.D. candidates from overseas (international applicants) may also want to consider the following sources of funding:
